Dear Colleague:

Please join us at Half Hollow Hills High School East on Saturday, November 22 for a LIFA tournament in Lincoln-Douglas and Public Forum Debates.

DEBATE and PUBLIC FORUM:

You are invited to enter contestants in all divisions—Varsity, Intermediate, and Novice Lincoln-Douglas and Varsity and JV Public Forum debates. 

The usual rule for judges applies:  1 for the first LD debater, and 1 of every 2 thereafter; and 1 judge for the first Public Forum team and one for every 2 thereafter.  Judges may not count for both LD and PF debate.  If you are providing senior as judges for the novice division of LDor the JV division of PF, please limit yourself to correspond to the number of debaters you haver egistereed in those divisions.

Judges will be our guests for breakfast and lunch.  Students will be able to place pizza order on Saturday morning during registration (8-8:30AM in the Main Office).  Soda and snacks will also be available for purchase.  Please remind students to bring something for breakfast; they will not be allowed to eat from the judges’ lounge.

Directions from the West to Half Hollow Hills HS East:

Take LIE to Exit 50 (Bagatelle Rd.); turn left from the Service Road onto Bagatelle and go over the LIE overpass and straight on to the second light which is Half Hollow Road.  Make a right onto Half Hollow Road, follow it until the first light which is Vanderbilt Parkway.  Make a left onto Vanderbilt Parkway, go up the slight hill and the school will be on the right.  Turn right into the first entrance.

Directions from the East to Half Hollow Hills HS East:

Take the LIE to Exit 51 North (Deer Park Avenue).  Proceed north (right turn) onto Deer Park Avenue (Rt. 231) and travel about 1 mile to Vanderbilt Parkway (first traffic light-Lubavitch Jewish Center at corner of Vanderbilt Parkway).  Make a left turn onto Vanderbilt Parkway.  Proceed approximately one mile (up the hill) and through the light to the school; it will be on your left.  Turn left into the last entrance (second entrance-don’t go in the exits).

Students should disembark along the sidewalk on the traffic circle and enter the main lobby.  Registration is to you immediate left, student cafeteria is down the halls to the right.
